Inlaid walnut double bed by Paolo Buffa, 1950s
Item description
Elegant Italian double bed from the 1950s, attributed to Paolo Buffa. The structure is made of a splendid lacquered walnut. The headboard is fitted with two suspended bedside tables with single drawer, topped with sage green glass, and floating thick glass shelf. The footboard is supported on conical legs with brass feet and has a finely decorated wooden medallion in the centre with an inlay. The bed frame is in good period condition as shown in the pictures, with slight signs of wear consistent with age and gentle use, with no structural damage and now ready for use. Dimensions in cm: Mattress area 199 (W) x 170 (L) approx. Headboard panel 103 (H) x 283 (W) approx. Footboard panel 65 (H) x 170 (W) approx. Nightstands 55 (H) x 52 (W) x 35 (D).
