Sèvres porcelain urn vase, made in the second half of the 19th century. Cobalt blue with gilt phytomorphic decorations and polychrome medallions; one of them depicts a lake landscape, the other a bucolic scene. The latter medallion bears the signature "Cottiret." The poly-lobed base, the handles with mulish heads, and the pinecone of the lid are made of gilded bronze. Under the lid is the inscription "Offert par le duc de Choiseul à Madam de Compan." Present double mark with coat of arms of the manufactory.
