PLATINUM Seller in Milano, Italy
Louis XIV style sideboard made in the early 19th century. It is supported by feet with lion-like features, it has two doors surmounted by as many drawers and two more doors in the upper body. It is made of walnut and entirely carved with leaf motifs and cherubs in the uprights. On the drawers are grotesque masks whose movable tongue serve as knobs. The four cardinal virtues - Justice, Temperance, Fortitude and Prudence - are carved on the doors.
