Item description

Liberty writing desk traceable to the production of Ecole de Nancy, spearhead of Art Nouveau in France, due to the great proximity found with the style of Émile Gallé. The desk has a front with flap door and drawer in the band, both decorated with floral inlays, scarab with morocco insert and a pair of side shelves. It has cherry and mahogany wood interior. It is decorated with phytomorphic elements in pierced wood and partially inlaid. France late 19th-early 20th century.
