Two decorative tile compositions, 50s
SILVER Seller in Brindisi, Italy
An unusual set of two composition of ceramic tiles which depict two peasants (a male and a female) while working. The compositions, mounted by us on a wooden structure, were hanging on the main hall of the town-hall of Grottaglie, Southern Italy and were made in the 1950’s. The tiles are unsigned but show similarities to the work of American artist Harris Strong.
