Item description
Four eccentric chairs by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Permanente Mobili Cantù, 1950s. The set is made with a monumental wooden structure. The structure has well-defined cylindrical and geometric shapes. Its peculiarity is the curved wooden backrest and seat that gives the chair originality and importance. Another special feature is the hand-stitched leather seat and back, where the leather flaps are interwoven at the back of the seat to tighten the leather to the structure of the chair. In fact, note the interlacing of the leather at the back of the chair. Given their imposing structure, the chairs are ideal for modernist-style dining rooms or natural chic settings.
