In chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner comfort is never treated as a separate element from aesthetics, and the GE-525 are a very clear example of this. Everything in the project seems built around the way the chair is actually used: the tilt of the backrest, the opening of the armrests, the lightness of the structure. They are chairs designed to be experienced daily, not just as decorative elements.
The wood green eco-leather seat completely changes the character of the set compared to the more traditional colored versions. The contrast with the teak makes the chairs visually deeper, almost more architectural, while maintaining that domestic atmosphere typical of Wegner's designs.
Placed around a teak table or in more basic contemporary environments, these GE-525s still retain a strong relevance today. An original vintage set that combines formal research, comfort and a design quality capable of crossing time with naturalness.
