Scornice mirror by Nanda Vigo for Glas Italia, 1990s










The Scornice mirror designed by Nanda Vigo for Glas Italia is a series of mirrors with framed motifs and satin decorations on the transparent surface that repeat the reflections of the glass. In very good condition with two small discolourations along the edges, also highlighted in the photos. Fernanda Enrica Leonia Vigo, known as Nanda Vigo, was an Italian designer. Nanda Vigo, a Mitteleuropean born in Milan, art high school in Milan, graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Lausanne, and tried her hand in S.Francisco. Since 1959, she has been exhibiting her works in galleries and museums in Europe and Italy (over 500 group and solo exhibitions). He was a member of the Zero Group, the Aktuel Group and the Bern Light and Bewegung Group and collaborated with Giò Ponti, Lucio Fontana and in partnership with Piero Manzoni. Glas Italia, founded in Brianza in 1972, manufactures doors, partitions and furniture in crystal, thanks to the century-long experience of the family glassworks and an inexhaustible passion for glass. Study and design make use of the most advanced technologies and collaboration with internationally renowned designers, who see in the company the possibility of realising the ideas of their creative talent.
