SILVER Seller in Modena, Italy
Lithography by Andy Warhol depicting Mickey Mouse on a black background. Numbered piece (n. 515/2400) and published by C.M.O.A.; it is part of a group of lithographs printed in 1983 reproducing the first series of 1967 in the 91 x 91 cm size. The CMOA stamp is a guarantee for Warhol's multiples: the acronym stands in fact for Carnegie Museum Of Art, a museum in Pittsburgh, Warhol's birthplace, to which the artist donated sixty of his subjects, allowing the institute to create multiples in limited editions (2400 pieces per subject). Unframed, the print measures 60 x 60 cm. With the frame it measures 63 x 63 cm.
