4 Antique Chippendale style chairs, 1800
Splendid group of patina walnut chairs from the mid 1800s. The reference style and the Chippendale but it is to be attributed to the Biedermeier having been a period where the upper middle class was based on eclectic reinterpretations, usually the empire using light woods and without bronzes and but it did not disdain other styles from neo-gothic to neoclassical and beyond. The chair is masterfully executed in solid walnut and the backrest is in feather, the design follows a logic of filiform lines in total and curls up delightfully in the center and above the backrest.
