A splendid pair of Chiavarine chairs attributed to Gaetano Descalzi, a timeless classic of Italian artisan design, in a particularly elegant and slender version. The frame is made of brass, giving them a luxurious look and a warm sheen. A defining feature of this model is the very high, slightly sloping ladder-shaped backrest, featuring three curved horizontal crosspieces, decorated in the center with a rosette or embossed foliage motif. They are ideal as end tables.
