A splendid set of five high dining chairs designed by Henning Kjaernulf in the 1960s for EG Kvalitetsmöbel. The frames are stamped with the manufacturer's 'FS' symbol. The slightly curved backrests are shaped like razor blades and are an uncommon design feature. These dining chairs have three 'blades' extending the backrest, which makes them quite rare. The style and shape of the carved legs and frame are reminiscent of an almost baroque design combined with Scandinavian modernism, creating an exceptional and impressive combination. The new dark blue upholstery in natural cotton fabric emphasises the beauty of the oak grain, adding a modernist touch. With a commitment to combining tradition and modernity, Henning Kjærnulf's design is an instantly recognisable and timeless classic. Overall, fantastic condition, with slight marks on the wooden frame, consistent with age and use, new foam and upholstery. Dimensions H 100 cm / W: 51.5 cm / D: 51 cm. Seat height: 44 cm. Height from floor: 41 cm.
