Antique Italian painting from the 17th century. Horizontal oil on canvas painting depicting various Biblical events from the story of Moses, with a good pictorial hand. On the left we find the Jewish people fleeing from Egypt. On the right we have one of the many battles that the people of Israel had to face during the forty years in the desert. In the centre is the handing over of the tablets of the law. Once at the foot of Mount Sinai, the Israelites saw thunder and lightning and only Moses was not afraid and went up to receive the Ten Commandments. A painting of great size and impact, full of characters and pleasant dynamism. Finely chiselled and gilded 20th century wood and plaster frame with beautiful decoration. Work that has undergone conservation restoration, re-staining, replacement of the frame and repainting in several places. In good condition. Painted light H 95 x W 182 cm.
