Huta Szkła Sudety is a glass factory specialized in the production of lead glassware (crystal). Initially it prefers simple models, modest in shape and color.
At the end of the 1860s, the company masters the production of double-layer antique glass.
After 1945 many artists collaborate with it, designing both unique and serial glass objects.
Other well-known artists who work together with the company are Józef Górski (1966-1968) and Stefan Sadowski, a designer since 1968 and, between 1975 and 2008, director of the company's design department. Ewa Gerczuk-Moskaluk and Zygmunt Janota also work here for a short time.
Until the 1990s, production is based on sodium and lead glass.
At the end of its activity, the plant produces exclusively blown crystal products, pressed manually and automatically, with a very rich design.
The company is liquidated in 2014 and then dismantled.
