Item description
František Pečeny's vase, made by Unia Szklana Teplice at the Heřmanova Huť glassworks, is an impressive composition of hand-pressed glass. When light falls at the right angle, the vase displays iridescent colours. The vase is intact and was designed by František Pečený (1920-1977) in the second half of the 20th century, more precisely in 1977. The original design was worked by Sklo Union Teplice at the Heřmanova Huť glassworks under model number 20307. Vases of this type appear very rarely. What is interesting about this vase is that it was only published posthumously. The vase has been published in several books, e.g. Hi Sklo Lo Sklo, Post War Czech Glass Design on page 94. Dimensions: height 16 cm; base diameter 5.5 cm; diameter 7.5 cm; inlet diameter 5.5 cm. Dimensions in inches: height 6.3 inches|base diameter 2.2 inches|diameter 3 inches|inlet diameter 2.2 inches.
