Battuto Murano glass vase attributed to Alfredo Barbini for Napoleone Martinuzzi, 1960s
Brown Murano glass vase by Alfredo Barbini for Napoleone Martinuzzi, Italy 1960s. Abstract form made using the "battuto" technique: wheel-carved and ground during the cold working process, which gives the object the appearance of being hammered like iron. Dock mark evident on the underside of the base. No signature. Very good condition with 5 round felt feet on the underside of the base.
