Engraving "by the sea" in the dotted manner, printed with colored inks (coloured in the plate), 19th century.
The engraver is Charles Knight, born in London in 1743 and died there in 1826; he engraved genre subjects and portraits inspired by the most famous artists of his time. His artistic work is considerable, he particularly distinguished himself in the techniques black manner and dotted manner. Much appreciated artist even in life.
