Pure Belgian wool carpet from the 1970s by Louis de Poortere. Already in the Middle Ages, Flemish textiles were appreciated throughout Europe for their beauty and quality. As early as 1959, the family business De Poortere brothers were manufacturers and traders of textiles, and this is where Louis De Poortere acquired his experience. He founded his company in 1929 and brought innovation, explored new production techniques and his collections enabled the company to offer a wide range of products.
