Item description

Polished bronze eagle sculpture with stunning green patina, 1970s. The eagle stands on a rock and rises, spreading its wings as it is preparing to take flight; the feathers are beautifully detailed and intricate. The animal's head is notable: the beak, like the legs, differs from the rest of the body by a characteristic golden patina. The position in which the animal is represented is surprising and powerful. This sculpture was cast using the lost wax method.
