Designed by Eero Saarinen, 1957. Eero Saarinen set out to tackle the "ugly, confused and restless world" he observed beneath the chairs and tables, the so-called "shantytown of legs". A five-year design research led him to the revolutionary Pedestal Collection, presented in 1958. Black aluminium base with santos rosewood top.
