Item description

A ceramic tureen produced by A.I.C. Richard in Italy in 1935, whose decoration depicting a sailing boat was designed by Gio Ponti. The tureen was part of a table service, is marked on the bottom and in perfect condition. Gio Ponti was an Italian architect and designer known for his contribution to the modernist movement, including Art Deco. This tureen is a splendid example of Art Deco and Gio Ponti's creative hand.
