As the name implies, this design treasure consists of a capsule of light that extracts a new form from the handmade glass process to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo landing on the moon. The large Capsule is 93 cm high and has a diameter of 45 cm (height of the diffuser alone: 33 cm). The small Capsule is 83 cm high and has a diameter of 36 cm. Very good condition: clean and polished glass, wiring system overhauled by an electrician, few signs of time. Ross Lovegrove graduated in 1980 with a BA Hons Industrial Design 1st class. His professional career began with collaborations with various industrial design studios in London and Stuttgart. In 1984 he went to Paris at the invitation of Knoll International; during his stay in Paris, he was a member of the Atelier de Nîmes with Philippe Stark and Jean Nouvel.
