Typewriter with case mod. Erika 105 by VEB Robotron Rechen-und-Schreibtechnik Dresden (East Germany), 1976. Erika was the basis and inspiration for the production of many other machines such as Optima, Prasident, Aztecs, CBM, Robotron, etc. The 105 series machines, which are the next generation of the Erika machines, are an undisputed model of typewriter and are considered the canon of industrial design. The Erika company is one of the most important typewriter manufacturing companies in history and the 30/40 series machines are exhibited in many technical museums around the world. The specimen is in excellent condition, it has probably never been used or has only been used a few times. It has slight traces of use. It works, just needs replacing the tape, which has already dried out due to age. The typewriter alone is 13 cm high, 34 cm wide and 34 cm deep. With the case it is 15 cm high, 39 cm wide and 38 cm deep.
