Discophore, plaster statue
On hold
PLATINUM Seller in Milano, Italy
Plaster statue depicting a discophore, derived from one of the marble copies made in Roman times from the bronze original, which was lost and attributed to the Greek sculptor Naukydes. The reference model must plausibly be the version preserved in the Vatican Museums, which has a fig leaf as in our version. Italian production, 20th century.
