Item description
Set of four Cesca chairs probably made in the 1970s. This model, designed in the 1920s by Marcel Breuer, is still produced today. They are characterized by beautiful weaves in fantastic vintage condition with a beautiful patina (golden/straw color) mounted on black painted beech frames supported in turn by chromed metal structures. The aged color of the weave is what makes them special and very desirable. We also cleaned the seats and covered the woven part with a thin layer of shellac. They are in excellent original condition, with small signs of time. Three of them have additional frame reinforcements installed on the underside of the seat structure, they are not visible from above but are not original. They have survived half a century and will survive a few more decades; modern copies usually fall apart after a couple of years. Seat height: 45 cm.
