Pair of Roman Renaissance style terracotta ornamental pine cones. Supported by an ornate circular base with square support. The pine cone has always symbolized life force and eternity. In the peasant tradition, the bride and groom's bedroom was adorned with pine cones to wish for the formation of a large family. Due to the beautiful meaning they were also given to celebrate a birth.
