Item description

Favela armchair by Fernando and Humberto Campana for Edra, 1990s. Devoid of internal structure, built with many strips of natural wood. Pine inside, teak for the outside; in both cases, the laths are nailed by hand in a random arrangement that makes each armchair different from the other. The beauty of Favela lies in the naturalness of the materials combined with the apparent simplicity of construction; in reality, the armchair is the result of a week of work and great craftsmanship.
