We present this fantastic oil painting on plywood dating back to the first decades of the twentieth century. The painting bears the signature A. Bit at the bottom left (see photo). Attributable to the Italian painter Alfredo Scocchera (Baselice, 1887 - Milan, 25 January 1955), a painting missing authentic.
The painting captures a serene Italian Montana Valle, showing the deep sensitivity of the artist for the beauty of nature and daily life. In the foreground, on the right, a woman is committed to washing clothes in a traditional sink, which embodies the simplicity and dignity of rural life. On the left, a picturesque mountain hut stands between the lush green, with chickens that peck nearby and cows that graze peacefully in a lively lawn. The background is crowned by majestic snowy peaks that meet a blue and clear sky, underlining the grandeur of the landscape. The artist uses bold and material brushstrokes and bright colors to give a sense of volume and life to the scene, inviting spectators to immerse themselves in the tranquility and authenticity of the life of the mountain village. The painting is elegantly framed in a golden frame, which enhances its timeless beauty and craftsmanship.
