The large flat back, also covered in parchment with meticulously handmade junctions, completes the composition with a sense of rigor and theatricality that recalls monumental architecture.
The parchment, a favorite material from Tura, is treated here with exceptional skill: smooth, dyed and polished until a soft and vibrant surface is obtained, which refracts the light in a warm and enveloping way, enhancing the natural chromatic variations and the signs of the time, which has now become an integral part of its charm.
