Elegant "Lunar" model sofa bed designed by James Irvine for B&B Italia - Maxalto. Characterized by a light gray painted metal structure and a sober and modern line, this sofa easily transforms into a comfortable single bed thanks to the retractable integrated mechanism. The seat and the back are covered in intense purple fabric, in perfect condition, without defects or discolors. The padding is compact and comfortable, ideal for both daily use and occasional bed. The curved tubular feet give lightness to the structure and enhance its contemporary aesthetic. Original label present under the body. In excellent general conditions. The "Lunar" sofa was designed and produced in the early 2000s, precisely around 2002.
It is one of the projects that reflect the minimal and functional approach typical of Irvine, combined with the production quality of B&B Italia. It is no longer in production, therefore it is considered a piece of contemporary collectible design.
