Cassina Duc three-seater sofa in original burgundy velvet, 1970s design by Mario Bellini Mario Bellini's 1976 Duc project is based on the combination of cutting-edge materials and innovative structural technology. The characteristic structure of panels assembled with zippers was a revolutionary solution for its time. Both the panels and cushions are upholstered in smooth burgundy/eggplant velvet with camel/gold trim. The panels are held together by zippers, a feature of the entire Duc line. The padded cushions have removable covers. There is a Cassina, Meda adhesive label on one of the feet. The sofa is solid and stable, still contemporary and in a very rare and elegant color. There is a small hole in the upholstery on the right side (see photo), but otherwise it is in excellent condition, with signs of normal wear and tear.
