Italian painting Christ and the Samaritan, 17th century
Ancient Italian painting of the seventeenth century. It operates oil on canvas, in the first canvas, depicting the subject of sacred art, Christ and the Samaritan at the well, of excellent pictorial hand. Ancient and golden ancient wooden frame, bronze tint, in beautiful patina with some sign of the time, of pleasant decoration (see photo). Picture that develops vertically, of beautiful extent and proportion, ideal to be included in a salon or study, for antique dealers and furnishings. The perspective used by the painter who puts the two protagonists on the sides, the well in the center with the glimpse and view of the city in the background (see photo) is interesting. Work that has undergone a slight conservative restoration and color recovery in small points (see photo). Given the era, in good condition with some sign of the time. Light painted H 108 x L 95 cm.
