Item description

Carlo X drawer in walnut with inlays and golden bronzes - era early 800 This magnificent drawer, dating back to the era of Charles X (first decades of the nineteenth century), represents a superb example of the elegance and the refined ebanisterial of the period. Made of walnut wood, it has a solid structure and harmonious proportions that make it a furnishing complement of great visual and functional impact. Technical and constructive characteristics: Material: solid walnut wood with splendid open vein, enhanced by a shellac polishing that gives it depth and shine. Structure: body moved with a slightly failed front, typical of style, which thinned downwards. The sides are smooth and consistent with the finish of the front. Piano: the upper part consists of a walnut surface of adequate thickness, with shaped edge, which follows the curvature of the body of the furniture. Drawers: The furniture is equipped with three large front drawers, all functioning and sliding, of which the first (upper) is slightly lower and finished with an elegant volute inlay that runs horizontally. Inlays: distinctive element of great value are the floral inlays in light wood woods that adorn the front of all three drawers. In particular, the lock vests are framed by stylized shield -shaped inlays. These inlays are performed with skill, highlighting attention to detail. Hardware: hardware is entirely original and high quality. The "ring" handles (ring) in golden bronze, of classic and refined design, are fixed on rosettes in Campanella, also in golden bronze. The vessels of the locks, also in bronze, integrate perfectly with the inlays. Golden presents an authentic patina, witness of the age of furniture. Feet: the drawer rests on the front on foot with an inverted shelf, carved and enriched by golden leafy profiles that give the furniture a touch of opulence. State of conservation: excellent state of general conservation, restored with anchor finish. Origin: Piedmont era: Charles X (first quarter of the nineteenth century) Dimensions: Height: 93 cm] Width: 135 cm Depth: 56 cm, regular certificate of authenticity with photos is issued.
