Painting "Hilly Landscape at Sunset with Stream" – Early 20th Century
Enchanting and evocative oil on canvas painting from the first half of the twentieth century (early twentieth century), depicting a large and lyrical hilly landscape captured in the warm, golden light of twilight.

Stylistic and Pictorial Details
Chromaticism: Excellent atmospheric rendering based on the contrast between the warm tones of sunset (orange, ochre, gold) and the cool tones of shaded vegetation and distant hills (deep green, brown and blue-violet).
Technique: The touch is material and confident, particularly evident in the rendering of the tree trunks in the foreground, where the grazing light of the waning sun creates strong luminous accents, and in the application of the low vegetation.
Atmosphere: The work evokes a sense of idyllic stillness, typical of late nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century landscape painting, faithful to the tradition of lyrical naturalism.
State of conservation: The painted film appears healthy, with a natural patina that gives depth to the colors and a very light and fascinating period "creture" that guarantees its authenticity. No invasive restorations or discoloration are evident.
Frame: The painting is embellished with an important and elegant contemporary frame in black lacquered wood, enriched by an internal profile richly carved with geometric/pod motifs, which masterfully encloses and enhances the luminosity of the canvas.
