Pair of decorative ceramic ceramic plates, created by the historic Bottega Gatti di Faenza, known for its excellence in artistic ceramics. The works depict suggestive naturalistic scenes in relief.
The first plaque shows a small bird laid on a branch, surrounded by delicate leaves and tufts of grass moved by the wind. The second represents a wck, probably a heron or a chiurlo, in a lake landscape, with marsh vegetation and a flowery branch that frames the composition.
The modeling surfaces are embellished with iridescent and iridescent enamels, which give depth and a refined golden brightness to the whole. The artist's signatures are visible at the bottom right on both works, dated 2023.
These plates evoke a sense of quiet and harmony with nature, with a style that recalls the art nouveau taste for fluid lines and the aesthetic inspired by the plant and animal world.
