Beautiful Swedish vintage vase Kosta Boda in artistic glass, this delicious hand blown glass vase is the work of Bertil Vallien (born in 1938), glass artist, sculptor, ceramist and Swedish internationally renowned designers. It is part of the collector's series, "Antikva", designed in 1977, part of the artist's collection The concept of Artist Collection was introduced by Vallien to give glass artists the freedom of personal and creative expression and to eliminate the feeling of "mass production". The pieces are works of limited edition, unique for the artist who created them. The pumpkin bottle -shaped vase (model 48118) is made of cooked glass, blown at the base with a combination of purple and amethyst with sapphire blue freckles, the graduated cooked glass neck is striped blue, adding elegance and size to the simple shape. The cooked glass technique blends colored glass fragments in transparent glass to create a dense spotting effect, similar to drift inside a snowball.
