The structure of the frame is made of fir wood, a material chosen for its lightness and workability, while the surface is finely veneered with layers of light and mahogany, precious woods appreciated for their chromatic heat and rich vein. This frame reflects the innovative aesthetic of the Viennese secession, artistic movement of that period, and the work of prominent figures such as Koloman Moser and Josef Maria Auccentaller both influential in the definition of the visual language of the movement. Many of their projects were published in the magazine Ver Sacrum, founded by Gustav Klimt and Max Kurzweil, who served as a showcase for the innovative ideas of the secession artists.
