Ancient Italian painting from the first half of the 18th century. Oil work on canvas depicting a splendid coastal landscape with knights and soldiers. The painting combines the typical dynamism of battles with an imposing backdrop of coastal ruins, where towers and boats emerge from the warm and dramatic light of the sunset.
The rapid and energetic brushstroke, the excited figures and the epic atmosphere recall the works of the great Italian painter Pietro Graziani (1662-1731), specialist and absolute master of the genre. (The painting is not currently accompanied by expertise but it is possible to request it upon payment of the relevant additional costs). A painting with great impact and excellent pictorial quality, ideal for enriching a study or a representative environment, classic or modern.
Spectacular 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in small spots. Overall in good state of conservation. Painting light H 70 x W 122 cm.
