Marilyn floor lamp, vintage and rare, with hand-blown and layered white satin Murano glass diffuser with black spiral and gray metal structure, in excellent condition. Stunning when lit, it will look great in any room CARLO NASON In the glassware of Carlo Nason (Murano, 1935), the techniques of high craftsmanship marry innovative design. Born into one of the oldest families of glassmakers in Murano, from childhood he absorbed the teachings of the master glassmakers who worked at Vincenzo Nason & Co. founded by his father, sensing the potential of glass applied to functional objects. Some of his earliest pieces, produced at the family business in the 1960s, are housed in the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, and MoMa and other international museums include his works in their collections. From '65 to today he has undertaken collaborations with prestigious Murano glassworks such as A.V. Mazzega, Vistosi, Carlo Moretti, Livio Seguso, De Majo, then with Gruppo Firme Di Vetro and with Leucos, both from Salzano
