Item description

Elm burl secretaire. Base with three drawers plus one in the molding, surmounted by a drop-leaf door concealing a rosewood cabinet, with an open compartment and a group of six drawers and two secret compartments. Leather insert on the inside of the drop-leaf, upper drawer in the band under the top, black marble top. Oak interior, plinth legs. Northern France, second half of the 19th century.
