SILVER Seller in Prato, Italy
Massive ashtray in pure lead oxide crystal. It has beautiful shades of green, its hexagonal shape and the way the crystal has been cut, contribute to creating particular and involving plays of light. It was made between 1962 and 1965 and bears the engraved signature of the company Val Saint-Lambert. Val Saint-Lambert was founded in 1826 in the abandoned abbey of Val-Sait-Lambert in Belgium by the chemist M. Kemlin, who had previously worked for the glassworks of the Voneche in the Ardennes. Initially, he produced crystal objects in the English style, later he devoted himself to the production of artistic glass in Art Nouveau and Art Deco style. It is still one of the world's most important factories of crystal, cut, and engraved glass. The elegance and class that shines through in Val Saint-Lambert crystals, leaves us surprised to notice how the harmony of sizes and shapes combine in a balanced aesthetic balance. Val Saint Lambert objects are intended for collectors or people of taste and personality.
