Item description

Ancient Venetian-made corner cupboard dating back to the second half of the 18th century. Large in size, the piece of furniture is truly imposing. The shelf feet that support the corner unit consisting of a door and a drawer are classics of Venetian manufacturing. The piece of furniture is made entirely of solid wood native to the production area, in fact it is made up of various essences, the majority of which is elm wood, other elements are made of oak and walnut, the only exception being the backrest which is made of solid fir. The weight is just as notable as the size and exceeds 50kg. The top of the cabinet, in walnut, was redone more recently during a restoration probably carried out at the beginning of the 20th century. The interiors are covered in Florentine paper. On the back of the furniture and in the parts not in sight, as well as on the inside of the door, the marks of the saw used to obtain the boards that make up the furniture are visible. These marks left by the tools during construction allow us to understand the construction quality and date its creation to the period indicated above. These marks are evidence and guarantee of the artisanal production and dating of the furniture. Measurements: Height 123 cm Width 110 cm Depth 74 cm
