the ultimate in desk lamps: a post-war Model 1209 Anglepoise four-spring table lamp, manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons, Redditch, England The Anglepoise lamp, designed by George Carwardine in 1933, revolutionized lighting in commercial applications and, shortly thereafter, in domestic ones as well. This large lamp (110cm long) works exactly as it should, with fingertip control, in original paint with a very good patina. Stamp "The Anglepoise". Fully extended dimensions 80cm 2 arms 31cm long and 36cm hat diameter 14.5cm 3 steel springs swivel base circumference 16cm
