Item description
Mid-20th century Italian armchair, designed in a neoclassical revival style and defined by balanced proportions and a warm, naturally aged patina. Made of walnut, it shows normal signs of age and use that contribute to its authentic vintage character, while remaining solid and decorative.
The slightly curved top rail and perforated lattice on the backrest give the chair a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic. The armrests follow a soft and tapered profile, and the padded seat, covered in a light damask-style fabric, creates a pleasant contrast with the tone of the wood.
The armchair comes from one of the most historic and renowned hotels in Riva del Garda, a building redesigned at the beginning of the 20th century by the architect Giancarlo Maroni and known for having welcomed illustrious guests throughout its history.
A versatile piece with personality and classic Italian charm, suitable as an accent chair in living rooms, bedrooms, entryways or study spaces. Ideal for interiors that appreciate furnishings with an authentic mid-century presence and significant provenance.
