Stunning pair of mid-20th-century oil paintings on canvas, crafted with refined technical mastery in the Neoclassical/Rococo style. The works portray classic "gallant scenes": Outdoor Scene: A noble couple in a moment of relaxation in a hammock in a monumental garden (signed M. Paulis). Interior Scene: A lady at the toilet assisted by her handmaiden, with an exceptional rendering of the fabrics and reflections of silk.
