Item description

Description: Antique Smith Neapolitan toilet in mahogany feather with maple inlay grafts belonging to the early 19th century. The structure is composed of a solid and shaped base, with a central pedestal and soft profiles which give stability and grandeur. Above there is a rectangular top in white marble which creates a chromatic contrast on the wood. The front is marked by the presence of a drawer highlighted by a thick floral motif inlay. The upper part is dominated by a rectangular mirror framed by a rich carved wooden structure. The sides of the mirror feature volute-sculpted elements with curved lines while the frame is enriched with decorative maple inlays with a floral and geometric motif. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method. Provenance: Naples, early 19th century. Measurements: 106x54 H170cm.
