Item description

Description: Two-door Impero bookcase in mahogany with inserts of gilded bronze elements dating back to the early 19th century. The front elevation is characterized by two glass doors with three oak shelves inside that are adjustable with a ladder system. The two corners are embellished by the presence of two large feathered columns ending with a base and capital in finely chiseled gilded bronze. The entablature hat is embellished by the presence of a gilded bronze decoration in the center depicting a mythological figure. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method. Provenance: France, early 19th century. Measurements: 155x50 H230cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
