Return of Egypt console in mahogany feather with marble top, 19th c.








Description: Ancient French Empire console belonging to the Consulate period of the early nineteenth century. The structure has a rigid rectangular structure covered entirely in mahogany with poplar interiors and a black Belgian marble top. The front is characterized by two pilasters ending with bronze sphinx heads. The feet of the pilasters which are always made of bronze rest on a rectangular base which acts as a connecting element.
