Pair of “Pluto” armchairs in curved solid oak, by Alf Svensson for Kovck Möbler, Malmö, 1950s.
Pair of “Pluto” armchairs designed by Alf Svensson for Kovck Möbler, Malmö, produced in the second half of the 1950s. The curved solid oak structure defines a soft and continuous profile, with connected armrests placed at a height of 57.5 cm and light proportions. The well-preserved cushions rest on a seat with internal springs that guarantee comfort and support. Svensson, protagonist of Scandinavian modernism, interpreted Nordic design with an elegant and functional language, in dialogue with mid-century Swedish production attentive to organic lines and natural materials.
