Original silkscreen by the master Mario Schifano entitled "old love dies" characterized by a dynamic composition in which figurative elements and pictorial interventions coexist in balance and dating back to 1997.
The work, 50 x 70 cm excluding the frame, features a visual stratification: a silkscreen base onto which gestural signs and chromatic fields are grafted, including shades of blue, pink and more intense material accents in the lower part. The presence of a central, evocative and suspended image dialogues with free and spontaneous signs.
The technique fully reflects Schifano's language, in which the seriality of screen printing is often overcome through manual interventions that make each example unique.
The work is signed at the bottom right while the print run is at the bottom left, in this case PA (Artist's Proof), an element that increases its uniqueness and collectible value. Artist's proofs, generally produced in limited numbers compared to the print run, are particularly sought after.
The screen printing is complete with frame.
